Stevie Sole founded Solemusic in 1996, It’s musical foundation is black dance music. The contributors reads like a who’s who in house music and include Basement Jaxx, Joey Negro, DJQ, DJ Spinna, Sandy Rivera/ KOT, Milton Jackson, Gorge, Inland Knights, Shur I Kan, Sei A, Frankie Feliciano, Phil Asher, Sounds of Life, Fred Everything, The Jinks, Chuck Cogan, Timmy Vegas, Lego, Swirl People, Basement Boys, Dj Spen, Karizma, Bugz in the Attic, Jay Tripwire, ATFC, Richard Earnshaw, Steve Ferrand, Francois Dubois (Funk D Void), The Jigmastas, Cooly's Hot Box, Terry Hunter, Rainy City.

Originally associated with twelve-inch releases, Solemusic has grown to put out compilations (Solevisions/Phuturesole/Solebeats) and artist albums (notably Open Door and Homecookin' from Bugz in the Attic) and singles from it’s two imprints, Sole and Tronicsole. Renowned for his definitive taste in quality music, Stevie compiled the Sounds Like Glasgow album released in 1997 on Pan records. This brought together all of

Glasgow’s Djs and producers under one album for the one and only time since. As well as compiling many of the compilation albums for Solemusic. Stevie has compiled two covermount mix cds for local listing magazines. These had a circulations of around 30000 copies. He also mixed and compiled the Solemusic covermount cd for DJ magazine.

The Tronicsole imprint came to life 14 years ago as part of the Solemusic empire. It's raison d'etre was and still is cutting edge electronic dance music with it's roots in house. It released the debut records from Milton Jackson, Sei A, Droido, Dj Spinna, Chris Harris, Terrence T and HiRO to name but a few and has seen the likes of Swirl People, Dominic Martin, Fred Everything, Bugz in the Attic, Martin Venetjoki, Jay Tripwire, Billy Shane, Seiji and Inland Knights record for it. It's now reaching it's 90th release and goes from strength to strength.
